Craft & Design and the Visual & Creative Arts Program - Sheridan College

2D design courses were offered to students in both the Craft and Design program and the Visual and Creative Arts Program at Sheridan College.

The courses introduces students to the basic design elements of line, shape, value, colour, and texture and the compositional principles of unity, variety, emphasis, movement and rhythm. Students develop their skills in manipulating these elements in order to apply them to the design of objects and to the presentation of their work. Through organizing visual elements 2-dimensionally, students examine the relationships of these elements and their potential to communicate ideas.
